‘Nina imagine pour vous’ (Nina imagine for you) or the Art of Recycling

Completely in the ‘now’ as part of the Green attitude!

It all started as an addiction to flea markets and unprocessed materials. Nina stored all her treasures in her small Parisian apartment convinced that one day she would do something with these rare finds. She later used them to create objects and furniture items when she either couldn’t seem to find what she was looking for on the market or when it was priced over her budget.
One morning, from these finds and from ideas and inspirations she had noted in a sketchbook over the last 7 years, was born the first light fixture made from an old tin can that had rested at the foot of her bed for months. Too excited to stop there she continued to make other ‘illuminated’ pieces and placed them on EBay.
To her great surprise, she attracted numerous EBay customers and a business develops. As fate would have it, an interior designer ordered 7 fixtures for a project. It was incredible how fast everything went!
Since then she has one ambition, to create create create!
Today, Nina continues to find, sort, convert, and assemble objects giving them a second life as light fixtures!

She has since set up small workshop in her back yard at her residence near to La Rochelle. It is here, that she can work undisturbed on her inspirations.
Nina does not stop there and even imagines creating a series of sculptures of incredibly stylish women.
Excellent ! A little wink for us ‘cocottes’!

Most recently, she has made personal boxes her clients and creates inspiration boards based on a story, a shared desire to give meaning.

A poetic tone can be found in each of Nina’s creations where the old and style combinations mix with new interpretations.

So what does our artist really not like? The blue in decoration and our grandmother’s cabinet in turned wood.
And a favorite object?
‘I do not own one, each is unique for me and should remain so, when assigning an object it loses its soul!’
Among her dreams, Nina wishes to offer her expertise to major brands and work with complementary artists. The field is open…

Far from the cliché ‘Bling Bling’ and those objects ‘Made in China’, this cocotte has talent...That's for sure!
